In support of the Ministry of Health’s primary and community care strategic priority, the Ministry of Health introduced a contract option as an alternative to fee-for-service in Fall 2018. This contract option provides income certainty for family physicians while they establish a full service family practice and build their patient panel (New to Practice Contract).

In Fall 2020, in further support of the Ministry’s Primary Care Network/Patient Medical Home initiative, a Group Contract for Practicing Full Service Family Physicians was announced along with a revised New to Practice Contract that aligns with the Group Contract. This presentation will provide information on the revised New to Practice Contract as well as the Group Contract for practicing family physicians.
